UHN - Diversity Illustration
“ One of UHN and Toronto's strengths is the diversity that is found here. Through our commitment to champion diversity, we benefit from new perspectives and ideas. These in turn, enrich our ability to develop creative and innovative approaches to deliver exemplary patient care, research and education," says Dr. Brad Wouters, UHN's Executive Vice President of Science and Research.”
I was tasked with redesigning existing diversity illustrations at UHN as part of their diversity policy. Working with the content development coordinator, Alaina Cyr, we expanded the patient groups depicted to be more inclusive, such as Indigenous and transgender individuals, people with different body types, visible tattoos, and hidden disabilities, and those with non-symmetrical facial features, among others.
While I provided a new illustration style, UHN preferred to keep the graphic style consistent with the original illustrations. However, I would still like to showcase my original work on my portfolio page.
